Lutheran Ministries M.A. Concentrations
For those students pursuing Deacon or Chaplaincy through the Lutheran Ministry M.A. program the capstone is the completion of a Portfolio Project through LD0535 Portfolio Capstone Project Course. Students will compile documents and present to a small panel who approves the portfolio.
Project Options:
This course serves as the capstone project for the M.A. in Lutheran Ministry. Students will demonstrate their competency for Christian ministry by developing a portfolio with particular attention to a specific area of ministry. The portfolio will contain artifacts developed during their time in seminary and their field education (contextual learning) requirement/s and demonstrate their ability to integrate theology, theory and practice as they lead Christian ministry. Students will present to their peers and panel while receiving written feedback from their panel of three people: A Luther faculty member, a member of the contextual learning staff, and a ministry mentor. This course is to be taken in the term in which they are completing their field education requirement.
Timelines:
The Lutheran Ministries M.A. Capstone is completed within the LD0535 Portfolio Capstone Project Course and should be taken in the term or semester in which they are completing their field education requirement.
